First Digital Ceramic Glass Printing Center Opens in Turkey
KH Tasarim, the official representative of Dip-Tech in Turkey, has opened the Digital Glass Printing Center of Excellence, a professional center for ceramic digital glass printing - the first of its kind worldwide. Located in Sancaktepe, Instanbul, the Center offers a complete glass printing service to glass processors and also provides consulting services to architects and designers.
The Center is equipped with all the necessary equipment to ensure a high quality product: a fully automatic conveyer line, a washer and tilting table, the most-advanced, innovative Dip-Tech AR4000 Digital Ceramic Glass Printer with an inline dryer, and an unloading table. It is staffed by KH Tasarim's experienced digital glass printer operators and business and application experts.
Full-service and more for glass processors, architects and designers
With this complete lineup, the Center offers glass processors an end-to-end glass decoration service, including washing, printing, dying and packing. It also can print glass samples for architects and designers, enabling them to learn about printed glass applications and the benefits for their projects.
Through the Center's varied services, KH Tasarim is be able to facilitate professional relationships between architects, designers and glass processors, assist design professionals in finding the right glass processor suppliers for their projects, and help drive business opportunities for glass processors.
A business enabler for all
"Our new Digital Ceramic Glass Printing Center lowers the barrier of entry for glass processors to expand into the decorative printed glass market," said Kayhan Horasan, founder of KH Tasarim. "They can work with the printer here, and invite architects and designers to come to the center and work with them on samples. They can outsource projects to us, and say ‘yes' to glass decoration projects even before they invest in their own printing equipment. It's a risk-free way to build a lucrative new offering, ideal for small and large glass processing companies alike."
Dip-Tech CEO, Yariv Matzliach commented: "We congratulate our partner KH Tasarim on taking this initiative. It is a smart strategic move that brings both KH Tasarim and Dip-Tech closer to glass processors."
Commenting on the market in Turkey as a reflection of worldwide trends, Matzliach added: "We are seeing growing demand among architects in integrating decorative and functional printed glass in their projects. The Center taps into this trend and I am confident it will prove to be a valuable resource and business driver for glass processors, architects and designers alike".
Grand opening draws industry leaders
The Center was officially opened on March 15th, immediately following the conclusion of the Glass Expo Exhibition. KH Tasarim's booth featured an eye-catching glass tower that demonstrated varied applications such as solar control and opacity control, and featured vivid pictures showcasing a wide color gamut. The glass processor that printed the tower is Gedik CAM, which also produced the printed glass for the Socar petrol station McDonald's restaurant in Georgia that Arch Daily named Building of the Year 2014.
At the grand opening of the Digital Ceramic Glass Printing Center, KH Tasarim demonstrated the printing and drying process with the Dip-Tech printer. The event was attended by leading glass processors, such Star Group, Cam Yapi, Yakut Cam and Sivas Cam from Turkey, Tonna Glass from Malta, and Glaston from Finland, as well as by numerous architects.
